LEXIUM FastAlign® 7100Pro trouble shooting and frequently asked questions.

This section will cover the most commonly asked questions, and trouble shooting help for the FastAlign® 7100Pro professional satellite meter.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Why do some satellite names not displayed under "Auto Search" function?

When using the Auto Search function, also known as the AutoFind® function, the particular satellite must be enabled and turned on to be used with the AutoFind® function.  You can simply follow the instructions below to activate this function for any satellite you desire.  We have put together a video that will walk you through as well:

 

  1. Turn your meter on by pressing the "F4" key.

  2. Choose Day or Night mode by pressing the "F2" or "F3" button respectively.

  3. Keep Pressing the "F2" or "F3" buttons until you see "ADDITIONAL FUN.".

  4. Press "OK" by pressing the "F1" button & enter the additional function section of the meter.

  5. Keep Pressing the "F2" or "F3" buttons until you see "EDITOR".

  6. Press "OK" by pressing the "F1" button and enter the editing section of the meter.

  7. Choose the satellite you want to turn the AutoFind® function on for by pressing the "F2" or "F3" buttons.

  8. Press "OK" by pressing the "F1" button & enter the editing section for that particular satellite.

  9. Keep Pressing the "F2" or "F3" buttons until you see "AUTO SEARCH".

  10. Press the "F1" button.

  11. At this point, the word "OFF" will blink. 

  12. switch to "ON" by pressing the "F2" or "F3" button.  The screen will display "ONF".

  13. When done, and to save, press "F1" button.

  14. You will see a message that displays "TO KEEP ?".  Choose "YES" by pressing the "F1" button.

At this point, this satellite is now turned on to automatically display when you use the meter in AutoFind® mode.

Does the meter work with DVB-S2?
No.  This is a DVB-S professional satellite meters.  We are currently working to develop a new meter.  This new meter will be capable of being used with DVB-S and DVB-S2

Does the FastAlign® 710OPro work with all satellites?
The meter works with most LNB & LNBFs, however, it does not work DSS LNBF that use the LO frequency of 11250.  The meter works with the LNB & LNBFs with the following LO frequencies:

  • 9750/10600MHz

  • 10750MHz

  • 5150MHz

  • 5750MHz

  • 10600MHz

  • 9750MHz

  • 11300MHz

In addition to the AutoFind® function, can the meter be used like a traditional satellite meter?
Yes.  The meter features both AutoFind® (AUTO SEARCH) mode and Manual mode. 

Does the meter work with DiSEqC switches & motors?
Yes!  The meter works with any DiSEqC1.0 or DiSEqC1.1 switch.  In addition, the meter is able to control a DiSEqC1.2 motor.

How many satellites can I program in the meter?
The meter can hold up to 27 satellites in its internal memory. 

How many transponders can I program under each satellite?
You can program up to 8 different DVB-S transponder frequencies, symbol rate, and polarities under each individual satellite. 

What is the map for the 4 buttons on the front panel?

  • F1 = OK/Edit/Save

  • F2 = Change selection ascending order/Navigate

  • F3 = Change selection descending order/Navigate

  • F4 = Exit/Back/On.  When you hold down the "F4" button for 3 seconds, the meter shuts off.

Can I use the meter in the dark?
Yes.  The meter features a backlight.  Every time you turn the meter on, it will give you an option for day mode or night mode.  When you choose the day mode, the backlight remains off.  When you choose night mode, the backlight comes on to illuminate the meter and the 4 front panel buttons.

How often do I need to send the meter in to be recalibrated?
Never!  The LEXIUM line of satellite meters and finders have a unique recalibration system built in.  This means that every single time you turn the meter on, it automatically recalibrate for the best possible performance.
